The Rosebank Business Association (RBA) took its wellbeing focus to new heights recently with a special event for members at Jump Avondale.
The event was held for Rosebank Business Association BID (Business Improvement District) members and provided an opportunity for team bonding as well as the chance for Rosebank business neighbours to get to know each other.
In groups of six, the teams navigated a range of challenges from building the tallest foam tower to slam dunk and minefield challenges, along with dodge ball.
“Congratulations to the team from C-Tech who managed to pull off a coup by winning both the dodge ball and slam dunk challenge. The setting at Jump provided the perfect opportunity for everyone to enjoy some physical activities together, and it was great to see so many people smiling, laughing, and enjoying being with workmates in a fun environment,” says Kim Watts, Executive Engagement Manager for the RBA.
Formed as a collaboration between the RBA and Healthy Families Waitākere in 2020, the Rosebank Wellbeing Collab is focused on creating workplace wellbeing solutions for the whole of the Rosebank business community. Thought to be a New Zealand first, the project gained further momentum as part of the wider Covid-19 recovery efforts.
Collaboration between 34 key business, community, and government stakeholders has championed and guided the wellbeing initiative, creating a community of practice where business leaders can share knowledge, resources, and tools to support employee wellbeing within their workplaces.
The event at Jump is the latest in a number of initiatives implemented as part of the wider collaboration which has included a wellbeing business challenge, several health checks, a Covid-19 vaccination programme for Rosebank employees, a Rosebank wellbeing survey, and a financial literacy picnic lunch.
“The Wellbeing Collab has been really well received and as an organisation, we’re enjoying seeing this project evolve and support the delivery of some really exciting and engaging events for our members,” adds Kim.
